ABG has always been special to me ever since I entered the earth. Being born in a house built using the finance of Aditya Birla Housing Finance Limited, I have always wondered how someone could make such a significant impact in a person’s life. I’ve always looked upon ABG as something huge, loud and held firm, just as how UltraTech cement hold our house strong and rigid. ABG has inspired my aim to run a conglomerate and now, they are even more inspiring. Feeding people when they cannot afford is a ‘GOD’ rated service, and ABG is doing a great job feeding 63000 children across 268 schools. ABG is not only giving food to kids but also help them study despite their poverty and the underdeveloped environment by providing solar-powered LED lamps. Schools for them? YES again! The way kids enjoy their learning in the 56 schools ABG has been running. Unemployment is a major problem in India, and yeah, they have plans for that too. They have been skill training 95000+ people, which has changed the fate of many people in rural households. Hospitals of high quality were built, and ABG also serves as the ‘Apollo’ Goddess of India. Now I stand, wishing to run a conglomerate in the future just like ABG is now; creating impact with their products in the minds of people and creating more significant effects on their hearts as well.

Aditya Birla Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate with headquarter in Mumbai and Sh. Kumarmangalam Birla as its chairman. I am very proud to confess that this group has been clothing me for the last at least 10 years. I have been such a great fan of Van Heusen and Louis Philippe clothes that I would not even see other brands’ clothes even for variety sake. Idea was my first mobile service provider as the connection was provided free during our welcome ceremony at Thapar University where I graduated from. Now, coincidently, I am using a Vodafone mobile connection and such is my loyalty for the company that despite poor network in our area, I continue to run onto the road for listening to phone calls. To top it all, I suggested Aditya Birla Mutual fund to my father about three months back when he wanted to invest in SIP. Again, while renovating our house, only Ultra Tech cement was used although the construction got stuck up sometimes due to its non-availability. My grandfather would often refer to one Shri M.S. Surana who was who was a highly placed official at HINDALCO, Renukoot and was hi close friend. Such is my association with Aditya Birla Group and its influence on my life.

I come from a family with business in its veins.  I have seen my family business rising and falling and again rising, since my childhood.  But what remained constant was its unheard, unsaid and untold partners, the invisible force behind its success. My father is in the business of manufacturing and selling bricks. The brick- making industry is highly fragmented. What makes it grow, is the overall growth in the construction market. And this growth was possible because of the presence of UltraTech, India’s largest cement company, the number one producer of ready mix concrete, grey and white cement in India. The penetration and reach that Aditya Birla Cement has, has not only helped built homes, but also commercial and government offices, the reasons why a town becomes a city!
