ABG has always been special to me ever since I entered the earth. Being born in a house built using the finance of Aditya Birla Housing Finance Limited, I have always wondered how someone could make such a significant impact in a person’s life. I’ve always looked upon ABG as something huge, loud and held firm, just as how UltraTech cement hold our house strong and rigid. ABG has inspired my aim to run a conglomerate and now, they are even more inspiring. Feeding people when they cannot afford is a ‘GOD’ rated service, and ABG is doing a great job feeding 63000 children across 268 schools. ABG is not only giving food to kids but also help them study despite their poverty and the underdeveloped environment by providing solar-powered LED lamps. Schools for them? YES again! The way kids enjoy their learning in the 56 schools ABG has been running. Unemployment is a major problem in India, and yeah, they have plans for that too. They have been skill training 95000+ people, which has changed the fate of many people in rural households. Hospitals of high quality were built, and ABG also serves as the ‘Apollo’ Goddess of India. Now I stand, wishing to run a conglomerate in the future just like ABG is now; creating impact with their products in the minds of people and creating more significant effects on their hearts as well.
I’ve always been a person wanting a change in life and society. According to me the biggest problem in the world is pollution. I have seen life forms changing their natural lifestyles due to the polluted environment. Even though the paper is a plant product, it isn’t fair for a cow to eat paper as there is nothing for it to eat. I felt very guilty of being a part of the world were no other living thing was respected. To feed my egoistic guilt, I became the change I wanted to see in the world. My friends and I joined together clearing the streets which were filled with plastics, wrote to the district collector on equipping the roads with dustbins and we went home to home telling people the problems fellow living beings were facing just because of our ‘Intelligence’. We also went around planting saplings in our street, in North Madurai. There were many ill-treats and discouragements in the course, but we decided that we’d never give up. After hard work for almost six months, we managed to change our street a little bit. This inspired us to do more. Then one day, I got to know that the government is not the only body who can change the world, but even the conglomerates who showcase their social responsibility in a large scale can also do wonders. After reading the CSR pages of companies like Aditya Birla Group and other companies, I decided to follow the ‘Corporate way’ of changing the lives of people and the world where we live.
