In our journey towards achieving our goals, we all face challenges which we need to overcome through dedication, hard work, and perseverance. Some of the most prominent leaders such as Mr. Ghanshyam Das and Vikram Das have shown us what it takes to build a conglomerate as big as the Birla empire in India by bracing against all odds. A quote by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam has had the biggest influence on my life – “Dream is not that which you see while sleeping it is something that does not let you sleep.” And my dream was always to get into one of the top B-schools of the country. This was easier said than done. My journey towards achieving this dream started when I was pursuing my engineering. Before pursuing an MBA I wanted to gather work experience from a reputed firm that will help me understand the nuances of how an organization works. A few months into work was when I decided to start preparing for the MBA entrance examinations. Things started to get tough, as the job was demanding and consumed most of the time, there were times when I felt like giving up but the dream of pursuing a prestigious MBA kept me awake during nights preparing meticulously for the examinations. The weekends were consumed by classes and tests which took a toll on my social life and giving me hardly any time to unwind myself. But all these challenges which I was facing made me stronger by the day and taught me important life lessons on how to prioritize things daily, how to utilize time most optimally and how to sacrifice certain things to achieve the bigger goal. The hard work paid off when I performed well in the entrance examinations and was called for interviews with several prestigious colleges in the country. The day finally arrived when the results were out and I was selected for the MBA program at IIFT, Delhi. On 24th June 2019 when I was joining the program the words “IIFT Bhawan” right at the main gate welcomed me warmly. This was when I could reflect upon all the tough grind and challenges, I had to overcome to stand here. It instilled the belief in me that we must never give up on our ambitions and keep trying sincerely until we achieve them.

Everyone knows the success story so no point in beating round the bush. Let us see how each individual like me grew along with them.                                                                                                          I came to know that in Hindi Aditya means sun during my third standard. From then onwards wherever I go this name followed me, rather I followed it. Be it in sacks and sacks of cement round my school construction sites, be it in the apparels I chose to wear, be it in the mobile cellular we are using, financial services and the list goes and goes on. A big story in the making since decades. I was dumbstruck by the fact that how a single group could manage and satisfy this much needs. The thing is I have not seen sun as many a times I have seen the title Aditya inscribed all-round me. The success not only depends on a particular group of people it attracted a large chunk of people around all age groups. Though the sun burns itself it makes us sweat most of the times but Aditya group by burning and working hard on themselves always tried to make us cool and chill all time around by showering us with umpteen number of products and services.

Even today, these memories put a smile on my face. Growing up, I realized the very important role of Finance and savings in one’s life. Aditya Birla group is not just a name, it's a legacy that's been continuing for more than 162 years. Consciously or unconsciously it has affected my life in some way or the other. The first thing that I can associate with ABG is a clothing range that it offers from affordable apparels at pantaloons store to my favorite clothing range of Allen Solly & Louis Philippe. Hackett London & Ralph Lauren are the brands that I want to add to my list as they are still out of my present budget. When it comes to housing then products that are used dominantly are cement & steel and Ultratech & Hindalco Steel comes into the scene as they are leading manufacturer of these products in the world. When it comes to keeping food fresh then Freshwrapp aluminum foil came to the rescue. When it comes to connectivity then  Idea is the brand of ABG which helps me to connect with others and after the merger quality has been improved. In terms of education, I wanted to be a part of BITS Pilani but I was not able to clear the entrance examination & entered into another college. It was a dream that was not fulfilled. Various other products are also used indirectly like carbon in tires of automobiles, preservatives in food, IT services & many other services. So ABG is there always in my life knowingly or unknowingly and plays an important part in my life.
