Did you know that Heterosexual privilege is a thing? As heterosexuals, there some things we get by default which many of us might not realize are privileges. A few have been listed below:
Showing affection in public safely and comfortably, without fear of harassment or violence Openly talking about one’s partner and relationships to others without considering the consequences Benefiting from societal “normalcy”: the assumption that heterosexual individuals and relationships are valid, healthy and non-deviant Assuming that all people and relationships are heterosexual, unless otherwise known Not facing rejection from one’s family and friends because of one’s sexual orientation or gender identity Easily accessing positive role models and media images for one’s gender identity and sexual orientation Not being asked to speak on behalf of all heterosexuals Using gender specific pronouns when referring to one’s spouse or partner without discomfort or fear of reprisal Having automatic recognition of one’s spouse as next-of-kin in emergencies Easily selecting print or viewing materials in which heterosexuality is the predominantly reflected orientation Having families similar to one’s own represented in children’s literature Raising children without fear that they will be rejected or harassed by peers because of their parents’ sexual orientation or gender identities Receiving support and validation from a religious community Not risking being denied employment, housing or other services because of one’s sexual orientation or gender identity Not being seen as needing therapy to “cure” one’s sexual orientation or gender expression Marrying

Talking about mental health is seen with a stigma for most part of the world. With very few people opening up about mental health, there is little awareness about what it is to have a good mental health. When someone is physically ill, illness is visible and they are treated immediately. But it is not so when it comes to mental health. Sometimes there is no telling sign and even the person with poor mental health himself may not be aware of. So, by the time, he realizes that he is in need of help, a decade has already easily passed.
Mental Health, on which even having a conversation made us iffy, has in the recent years been in the limelight in the recent years, and rightly so. We have started opening up to ideas, started sharing stories and have found ourselves discovering that one, this issue is prevalent in the society and two, for whatever we are going through, there is always someone who has gone through the same journey. But is merely being open to listen to stories enough. Do we know anything about mental health at all?
we haven't any idea about how this community suffer in india. Indian people mindset always too biased. but when it come likes this topic no one have any idea or knowledge about this. All Know about LGBT, but noone idea about The Transgender Persons' Bill 2019. This Bill is changed defination about Transgender and intersex. Transgender defination as per bill, a transgender person is someone whose "gender does not match with the gender assigned to that person at birth and includes tran-man or trans-woman (whether or not such person has undergone sex reassignment surgery or hormone therapy or laser therapy), person with intrasex variations, genderqueer and person having such socio-cultural identities as Kinner, Hijra, Aravani and Jogta."
