“Gyanam anantham” this is the tag line of IIM Trichy and IIM Trichy lives exactly up to the mark of it. I was in the awe of getting into one of the premiere institute when I got offer letter from IIM Trichy. There are multiple reasons why I preferred IIM Trichy over other institutes. It is the college located in the heartland of Tamilnadu, which is a place known for being cradle of many leaders like Dr C V Raman, A P J Abdul Kalam, Sujatha Rangarajan, and former Indian president R venkataraman. The campus is state of the art campus with modern facilities like furnished hostel, clean mess, and structured classrooms. All these are good attraction to be in a college but the where I found core value lies in the IIM Trichy are the rigorous academics, state of the art learning resource centre, carefully designed curriculum and case study pedagogy which opens gates to new horizons of learning. In any management institute the most important aspect for nurturing knowledge is the permanent staff of the knowledge, and IIM Trichy has permanent staff of around 35 professors, it has one of the highest ratio when it comes to student to faculty ratio. All the professors have years of experience in both industries and academics which helps students connect their learning with application. Case study pedagogy here induces the student to analyse practical world problems and come out with out of the box solutions. One of the key point of attraction here is the library facility here which contains ample amount of books and an equal amount of online content to which we have access which provides students ample amount of knowledge in the field in which they are interested. But things don’t end here IIM Trichy is not all about learning and mugging up, it is about the overall grooming of personality, creating leaders up the leaders, bringing out the best within you. For that IIM Trichy has many clubs and committees which helps student develop his world view. There are 12 exciting clubs and 8 committees which help student in grooming their potentials. Some of the landmark events like SANGRAM, DHRUVA etc, these events attract students from all the premiere bschools. IIM Trichy has recognition not only in India but also in the other countries, that thing is evident in its student exchange programme many students every year are provided chance to visits well accredited universities in Europe and in Australia. Result of all these efforts are reflected in the summer internships and final placement every year, there has been constant upwards trend in the remuneration packages, the students are being offered. Students of IIM Trichy have joined some of the most reputed companies. Dell, SBI, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant, Infosys, Aditya Birla Group are the few to name them. Thus life at IIM Trichy is about learning along with developing the leader inside you.

If provided a chance I would like to work with Aditya Birla Capital, which is a part of ABFSG (Aditya Birla Financial Services Group). It is a industry leader in the field of NBFC with a revenue of INR 560.8 bn, which provides key services like asset management, private equity, corporate finance, wealth management etc. I want to work with ABFSG because I am sincerely interest in the field of investment decision making, portfolio management, and risk analysis.
