“Congratulations! You have been selected for BM Programme in XIMB 2018-2020 Batch.” For the first few seconds, I could not believe my eyes. I was left dumbstruck. Gradually I realized that all the hard work in the last ten months had not gone in vain. The thought of having cleared all the gruesome rounds of elimination to finally getting admitted into a reputed B-School made me realize that something worthy had been achieved. I had finally got admission into my dream college, and a new journey awaited me there. I had finally reached a new chapter of my life.
Now coming to the question, why and how I chose XIMB? Having done my thorough research on B-Schools while preparing for the exams, I had shortlisted only the top B-Schools. Needless to say, XIMB was there on my list. Coming from Kolkata, I was well aware of the opportunities in this part of the country and the kind of roles I was looking for, there could not have been a better choice for me than XIMB. First and foremost, XIMB has a legacy of more than 30 years which speaks volumes about its reputation and the reputation has only been sustained through consistent placements year after year. Placing 360 students year after year requires a lot of effort and kudos to XIMB PlaceCom for keeping the record of phenomenal placements intact for all these years. The brand name “Xavier” is known to all and to be a part of the Xaverian family was in itself a very big thing for me. Having a very strong alumni base, XIMBians have ample opportunities in their corporate life thanks to the networking that happens in these two years at XIMB. Friends are made for life at this campus which has great diversity in terms of academic background and work experience.
