It is said that a happy mind is an optimist’s abode. At IIM Kashipur campus, away from the din of the city, in the lap of mother nature, one can definitely find solace and happiness. In fact, if there was a happiness index for college campuses, then I am sure that IIM Kashipur campus would have won hands own.

So what makes IIM Kashipur a happy place. To begin with, apart from academic stuff and sacrosanct deadlines, delicious meals at the mess and sporting events bring out the bonhomie amongst us. Given the spacious campus and lush green campus, sports form an integral part of our day-to-day lives inculcating the sporting spirit in all of us. At festival celebrations, our group dancing skills are something to watch out for, besides our voracious appetite. These events not only serve as stress busters but also give us an opportunity to understand and cherish different cultures.

Being in the lap of nature, the IIM Kashipur campus is surrounded by nature’s masterpiece. The aura of the hills, green fields and the stunning views offer us a kind of mystic, pure, old-world charm which cleanses the mind and instils a thirst for knowledge.

This environment and the cultures give us the right motivation to blend with others and foster team spirit while retaining our individuality. Having students, faculties and other non-teaching staff from different parts of the makes the place all the more diverse. This diversity translates into the richness of ideas and discussions giving room for healthy competition. In such an environment, none work in silos which makes working hard a pleasure, adding to our happiness quotient.

All these i.e. the warm culture, soothing surroundings, cultural diversity etc., makes IIM Kashipur campus truly unique and full of happiness.

Aditya Birla Group company I would like to work for

I would love to work for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited. The branded apparel division is the perfect mix of flamboyance and simplicity. Given the rising demand for ethnic wear and localization, I think the apparel segment would give me the right opportunity to apply my marketing knowledge and understand the buying behavior of customers. Moreover, people buy apparel for different reasons like some buy it for self-actualization while other for fashion statement which I as a marketer would love to explore while contributing to the company.
