Getting into an IIM is tough, but selecting among them is even a tougher task. A month ago, I was struggling with the tougher part of the problem, and now I am excited to share with you that why I chose IIM Sirmaur and what makes Sirmaur unique.
Since the day I landed at IIM Sirmaur, I have been experiencing a delighting yet serendipitous welcome by not just my peers but also but the local Himachal people around. Life couldn’t have been better than this, every morning I am awakened by the fresh air coming straight from the hills beside the river Yamuna just a few meters away. Hard to believe right?
Not just that, our Academic learnings here are imbibed with a warm gesture of listening up every fresh idea students cultivate here. That is why IIM Sirmaur have successfully organised International Immersion Programs, TED xTalks, Psychological Wellness Programs, and Global Leadership talks within just 3 years of establishment. Aditya Birla Group could be the next feather in our hat.
Baby IIM is what they say us, but this baby is moving at a pace faster most wouldn’t have imagined. We practice multicultural learning including classroom session not just confined to National Academicians but also to foreign collaborations (such as SDA Bocconi School of Management). People come and meditate in hills & valleys, we experience that meditation with every learning day we spent here. William bleak once said - “Great things are done when men and mountains meet”.

I would personally like Pantaloons Fashion & Retail to visit our campus and experience and interact the fresh minds we have at IIM Sirmaur. Collectively as an Institute & State we would be willing to present the Industrial support to ABG in operating & hiring from here.
I am an Electrical Engineer by name and marketer at heart. Although I don’t have much experience in the field but I would love to start my journey with Pantaloons Fashion Retail & learn some key aspects it.
Himachal with the second highest literacy rate would surely save some efforts & will add value to the whole recruitment process.
