With a lot of hopes, we packed our bags, even though a lot of inhibitions were lurking at the back of our mind. All we knew was “I am looking forward to making a start to this beautiful journey at my dream college” said every MBA aspirant after converting the calls. Every person has their own definition of their dream college and for me, it is XIMB, undoubtedly. The Jesuit institution having a legacy of 30 years and more to come, was the place where I wanted to see myself.
When I reached the campus on an early Monday morning, I found a notification mentioning about an assignment provided to us with a deadline set. That very moment, I knew my journey had begun. As I made my way into the third week, I can feel that the metamorphosis taking place. The impeccable disciple, the challenges thrown at us every day, they strive to strike a balance between academics and the extra-curricular is what makes XIMB special.
Life changed for each one of us here. Scrolling through the mails is the first thing we do in the morning. We have understood the value of sacrificing an extra hour of sleep today. Amidst all this, we also try to balance our social lives. Apart from the assignments, deadlines, back to back classes we do find time to engage ourselves in our areas of interest.
The campus being very easily accessible makes it very convenient for us to reach the Academic Block from the Hostel Blocks, saving a lot of time. The diverse educational and cultural background of my peers just enhances the quality of the batch. We realise each day that every person here has something unique to provide. The interactions with our seniors about their experiences are very helpful. Our amazing faculties are always keen to listen to our perspectives. The casual conversations at the mess or at the ground are the beginning of strong friendships. All of these makes XIMB very special.
And, in a weeks’ time, this place feels like home already.
Which ABG company I would want to work for?
I would like to work for Aditya Birla Capital Ltd (ABCL). ABCL, being one of the largest financial services players in India and rated the 4th largest assets management company in India, delivers a wide range of money solutions for protecting, investing and financing its customers. Being a Company Secretary, I am mostly inclined towards Finance and Legal domain and I strongly believe Aditya Birla Capital would provide me with a great exposure and knowledge and would simultaneously allow me to contribute better to the organisation
