An old IIM admission is a dream come true for most MBA aspirants. IIM Indore lives up to its tag in every perceivable way. The sense of pride and immense opportunities for learning and career building is as good as it gets. But, then there are a few more colleges who can lay claim to these facets.
What makes IIM Indore genuinely unique is its scenic campus and the vibrant campus life. Few colleges, be it in any domain can rival planet-I in this regard. Add to it the state of art sports facilities including a lush green cricket field, Olympic size pool, multiple fitness centres, squash and tennis courts, the campus stands head and shoulders above any management college in India in quality of life. The lush greenery, fresh air and open spaces are a luxury, not many of us are fortunate to indulge in. Afterall, fitness and happiness of participants are paramount as we seek to get the best out of some of India’s most brilliant minds.
Further, the immense diversity which comes with a large batch size adds colour to the palate and help us grow together drawing from experience in a variety of fields. The diversity also allows companies to get a better fit in line with the roles they are offering. So, rather than a liability, the batch size has become a USP for the institute. To wind up with a personal note, I will forever cherish the fun-filled moments, and well as the learning experience, I have been privileged to experience here at planet-I.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
I would like the work for Aditya Birla fashion and retail limited if given a chance. Branded apparel can be an exciting sector as India’s fast-growing middle-class look to brands to give their new-found affluence legitimacy. With power brands like Hacket London, Van Heusen, Louis Philippe as well as young adults brands like ‘People” and ‘forever 21.’ in its stable, Aditya Birla fashion and retail limited is well placed to satiate the ever-growing demand and make a windfall. As the Indian growth story continues at a blistering pace churning out more and more disposable income, it is an exciting time to work in a branded apparel industry. Working in an Aditya Birla company would be a privilege to any management trainee, particularly if in a sector which one finds exciting. So, no other reason needed to want to work for ABFRL.
