On January 12, 2019, IIM Nagpur finished its summer placements for the batch of 2018-20, comprising 111 students. With the batch intake doubled in the current first-year students of the flagship Post-graduate programme in Management, IIM Nagpur once again achieved 100% placement.
More than forty recruiters, including many first time recruiters, from across sectors like FMCG, Consumer Durables, Oil & Gas, E-Commerce, Financial Technology, Aerospace & Aviation, Consulting, BFSI, Logistics, Media & Broadcasting and Real Estate participated in the process. Prominent recruiters included OLX, Berger Paints, V-Guard, Century Real Estate Holdings, Mapro, Amul, Yes Bank, HPCL, BPCL, SIDBI, Pladis Global, Tata Aerospace & Defence Ltd., Blue Star, Sutherland Global, Value Labs and Jio Studios. The FMCG sector offered the largest number of internships. Students majorly got placed in the Sales & Marketing domain followed by Business Strategy. Apart from these, several roles were offered for profiles in Finance, and Analytics domain.
The highest stipend on offer increased by almost forty per cent as compared to that offered last year. The highest stipend offered this year was Rs. 2.50 Lakh. The average stipend offered was Rs. 54,751. The average and the median stipend for the top quartile were Rs. 1.13 Lakh and Rs. 1.10 Lakh respectively. The institute also witnessed many first time recruiters making double-digit offers to the students.

IIM Nagpur has witnessed a highly encouraging response from the recruiters in terms of talent pool, course curriculum and skill development. The Institute thanks its CDS team and the placement committee for their excellent performance and for making IIM Nagpur only the 2nd IIM amongst the new generation IIMs to wrap up their summer placements in early January.
