Campus!!! After hearing this word what comes in your mind? Well may be, a big area of land with some big buildings and lots of students, people running from this building to that building for their classes and many more. But it’s not the case of IIM Shillong. The campus of IIM Shillong is comparatively small and yes there are buildings and students too. But the thing that separate its campus from other campuses is the size of the batch (less than 200 students) which gives you the privilege to get to know each and every student of the campus and makes you feel like home and yes it gives you one more advantage which is more one to one interaction with the faculties.
Talking about studies!!! In IIM Shillong it’s not only about the industrial knowledge that we learn, also we learn about our responsibilities, our responsibility towards our society, our responsibility towards our future generation. Sustainability which most of us has forgotten and are continuing using natural resources without any limit, IIM Shillong has made it a part of its course curriculum. Also, the connection of this institute with Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam has made the students think in the direction that he wanted us to think.
Moreover, the majestic beauty of Meghalaya, which means "the abode of clouds" in Sanskrit is another factor that separates our campus from others. So, if you have never been in Meghalaya it helps you to guess how beautiful Meghalaya is and IIM Shillong is no exception, no wonder why we call our campus “campus in clouds”. It feels like we are not living in nature instead we are living with nature. This campus is full of pine trees which one can see all over Meghalaya and yes, the cherry blossom!!! During that time of the year when nature decorates our whole campus in pink color will definitely give you a heavenly feeling.
We are talking about the beauty of IIM Shillong, so how can we forget about the weather. The weather of Meghalaya is one other factor that separates IIM Shillong form various other institutes. It’s winter almost 12 months of a year. While living in this campus one can never guess how the next day’s weather will be. If you are seeing sunshine in the morning then don’t let the weather fool you, after sometimes it’s possible that there will be rain. It’s really very unpredictable.
In IIM Shillong we celebrate everything as a family whether a birthday, placement or any festival. We just need a small reason then no one can stop us from celebration and the best part is everyone will join you in your celebration.

Among all those companies that Aditya Birla Group holds, I would like to work with Ultratech Cement Limited.
The main thing that attracts me towards this cement industry is that, cement is one of the industries which plays a major in other industries like construction, Transportation and many more and it is used from one small family to big industries.
Since I am looking forward to perusing my carrier in Marketing domain it will give me an opportunity to cater both the families and industries at the same time i.e. B2C and B2B.
Not only marketing, also my knowledge of general management will also help me to tackle the obstacles that the company may face in the future.
