- Initially, candidates are screened based on their CAT 2023 scores, ensuring they meet the overall and sectional cut-offs. Following this, IIM Udaipur shortlists candidates for the Personal Interview (PI) round according to their specific criteria.
- In the second phase, candidates are shortlisted for admission based on a composite score that considers CAT performance, overall profile, and PI performance.
Below is a detailed breakdown of the entire admissions process.
Phase 1: Shortlisting candidates for PI based on CAT 2023 cut-offs
In the initial phase, candidates are shortlisted based on IIM Udaipur's minimum CAT 2023 cut-offs, as detailed in the table below. It's important to note that just meeting these minimum cut-offs does not automatically ensure a shortlist for the personal interview round.
Category | VARC | DILR | QA | Overall |
---|---|---|---|---|
General | 70 | 70 | 70 | 92 |
EWS | 40 | 40 | 40 | 70 |
NC-OBC | 45 | 45 | 45 | 74 |
SC | 35 | 35 | 35 | 54 |

Phase 2: Creating a weighted composite score based on evaluation criteria
After completing the Personal Interview (PI) process, IIM Udaipur will compile a weighted composite score to formulate the merit list for MBA program admissions. For this year, the weighting is as follows: 60% for CAT 2023 scores, 15% for PI performance, and the remaining 25% assigned to a candidate's profile (work experience, academic and gender diversity, academic profile).
Component | Weight |
CAT 2023 Score | 60% |
Personal Interview | 15% |
10th | 2% |
12th | 2% |
CA/CS/ICWA | 1% |
Graduation | 4% |
Work Experience | 10% |
Academic Diversity | 1% |
Gender Diversity | 5% |
Please note - Candidates who do not obtain certain minimum scores in the PI will not be considered for the merit list. The minimum scores will be decided by IIM Udaipur.
