A memorable classroom experience in my B-school.
The most memorable classroom experience for me was during our sessions on “Design Thinking”. This one subject strengthens the fact that MBA is not just about reading books and learning those regular courses belonging to some prefixed domains, it is much more than that. The classroom sessions of this subject allowed us to explore the gardens of our creativity without any bounds. We learnt different aspects of design, innovation, and field research in a fun way. All of us represented our ideas through charts, drawings, videos, presentations, etc. There was nothing called as right or wrong but it was about thinking and more thinking.
Not only this we were also given a problem that we were supposed to solve using the concepts of design thinking, represent these in the class and take the feedback of actual stakeholders. It was so much fun working like this with a batch of 70 odd people coming up with so inspiring and engaging ideas and innovations. This also fostered the team working as we were supposed to work in the group of 5-6 people learning from each other’s perspective on different tasks allocated to us.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
While it is a dream for any management graduate to work for any company within the ABG group but if I have to name a company that I would love to work for is Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited.
It is amongst the top fashion lifestyle entities that envelopes numerous brands within it satisfying the needs and demands of different segments in the market. With increasing disposable incomes, organized retail is set to grow at a rapid pace. But at the same time, the extensive competition in this market makes it all the more challenging to work in this company.
