I am delighted to share my interview experience at SJMSOM through this post. My slot for the personal interview was scheduled on 6th March 2021 in the afternoon session. Use of the "Gather" platform provided a feel of the offline experience, just like being on the campus and looking around (which was not possible because of the current pandemic). We entered the auditorium of the platform and were addressed by few seniors, who gave a briefing about the process for the day. Each panel had a student strength of around 15 to be interviewed and we were assigned with one mentor to guide us for the entire interview process.
I was sixth in line for the personal interview. As soon as I entered the interview room, I was greeted by two alumni ( A1 and A2) and one professor at SJMSOM.
A1: Tell me about yourself (Answered)
A1: Tell me the qualities of a good HR (Answered)
A1: Imagine you being the HR and one of your subordinates wants to resign. How will you convince him from quitting the company? (Answered)
A1: Follow-up questions to all my answers (Answered)
Satisfied with my answers and asked A2 to ask questions if any.
A2: What are your hobbies (Answered)
A2: Tell me about one tradition that made you awestruck (question based on my hobby -answered)
A2: Is social media a boon or bane (answered)
A2: Tell me one problem with social media (answered)
All the panelists wished me luck and asked me to exit the panel. The entire process lasted for 10-15 minutes. I came back to the auditorium and after few minutes I was called in for the certificate verification that was done within five minutes. We were asked to leave for the day.
Result: Converted after second waitlist movement.
