PART A

Before starting my MBA, I was really floored with the idea of finding the right kind of “formals”, required

by the dress code. The only work wear apparel store that came to my mind was Van Heusen. It did rescue me out of my bewilderment.

Van Heusen has always been my favourite brand. When it comes to formals, the ‘Power Dressing’, I bet it can perfectly fit and look amazing on anybody and everybody on this planet.

On the contrary, the consumer today is increasingly self-confident and aware when it comes to fashion and apparel. He/ She is more experimenting and willing to wear casual — yet appropriate clothes — to work. Offices too are not as strict and disciplinarian regarding dress code as they were a decade ago.

People have accepted a general casualization towards work-wear as long as it is clean and trendy. This is when Allen Solly’s Friday dressing comes into picture. Wearing formals at work gave me a lot of confidence and motivation to go to work every day. However, things sometimes get monotonous, so did

Formals, especially on Fridays when the mood is set for some party and leisure time. Formals do not do

justice to the ambience and mood on Fridays. The basic premise of “Friday dressing” by Allen Solly not only sets the right mood but also brightens up the workplace.

While other brands have copied Allen Solly's merchandise, Solly still remains the tough leader in this spacefor me. Aditya Birla group strongly believes in Brand Loyalty, and I am surely the one extremely loyalcustomer of its brands and will remain to be in future as well.
