The experiential learning module is one of the many highlights of this program and is a unique feature for a one-year MBA program within India. The candidates get an insight into the supply chain & operations domain through hands-on experience of working on real life situations experienced by the corporates and by working on initiatives that would help deliver value for the organizations. The knowledge of supply chain & operations fundamentals gained during the first module spent at IIM Udaipur helps the students in understanding and designing models that would help the companies in solving problems as well as to execute long-term initiatives.
Selection for these live projects is through a rigorous process of shortlisting of CV’s, followed by telephonic/Skype interviews with the company representatives. The candidates are tested on their past work experience and their knowledge of Supply Chain fundamentals, on the basis of which internships are offered. Thus, the candidates also get a first-hand taste of resume building and interview skills during this process.
The current PGPX batch completed their Experiential Learning module (Jun-July ’16) at reputed companies such as Siemens, Cummins, United Biscuits, Cargill Foods, Tupperware, Mahindra Spares, Larsen & Toubro, Carrier, TVS Logistics, Volvo-Eicher and Reliance, to name a few.
