I believe the below 3 things contribute the most in making my campus unique –
- We have a very small campus, which sounds like a negative thing at first, but as you stay here and get to know this little campus better, we realize that the small size campus is contributing a lot in developing intra batch and inter-batch bonding.
- Our campus is most popular for offering an MBA in just over 20,000. This makes a huge difference as most students after passing out of our college do not carry education loan and hence are free to pursue any path they want.
- The third specialty is about the hostels. In our hostels, we not only have students from FMS, but also have other students from various other Delhi University colleges, which gets you in touch with people of various domains and you get to learn from them.
A memorable classroom experience in my B-school
During the induction program that we had at the beginning of the college, we were given some pre-induction assignments. One of those assignments was to make a funny video about yourself and submit it. Most people did submit a funny video. Later in class, student who did not submit the video were asked to go on stage (they made temporary arrangements for that) and do something entertaining.
At first, everyone was very hesitant and people did not want to go there and perform. But later as everyone started enjoying, even those people who had submitted the video joined the non-submitters and everyone had a great time.
It was the most unanticipated response to such an activity. I think I am going to cherish this memory for the rest of my life
Introducing - some of my crazy batchmates
- Ashish Batra – Commonly known as Batraji or Chhotu, is a fun-loving core non-vegetarian who is a great singer and is good at finance as it is his domain. He is a great friend and a travel enthusiast.
- Aarushi Vyas – She is instrumentation engineer, who knows karate and is extremely talkative and fun loving. She is a very health conscious and fit girl.
- Arpeet Sahu – At first, he doesn’t look like a fun-loving person. But as you get to know him, you would realize that he is a very helpful person who has a terrible sense of humour.
- Shubham Gupta – He is from Bangalore and compared every little thing of Delhi to Bangalore. He is almost sad that he is not in Bangalore. Also, he is a very sincere student and takes all the work seriously.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
I want to work for Aditya Birla Online Fashion – abof.com.
I was working in a digital marketing company called Sokrati which is based in Pune when we got this client abof.com. It was very unpopular at that time. As Myntra, Amazon fashion were such big giants in the industry, abof was struggling to get traffic on the website and sell products.
This was the time when we started advertising abof brand on google search – which was the responsibility given to me. And with time, the sales increased with impressive numbers and we also managed to decreased costs. This client was one of the first few clients that I worked for and I have learnt a great deal of digital marketing while working for abof. This brand is very close to my heart. I felt really bad when it was closed down for a while. Given a chance, I would love to work for abof.com.
