Located far away from the city of Pune in hilltop of a small village on the outskirt of Lavale, Pune lies my college, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management along with different other colleges of Symbiosis. Holding a prestigious position among the many B-Schools in India, SIBM Pune holds a great infrastructure, faculties, talented group of people and apart from everything else, provides an exceptional learning experience to the students.
But, What’s so unique about this campus with so many other business schools in India? The first thing that’s genuinely special about this college is diversity among the people. I, being a foreign student from Nepal myself, have friends from different part of India, with some being freshers and other experienced, with everyone relishing the entire day together, starting from the breakfast in mess till the late night forgetting every dissimilarity between the differences that exists in the culture.
Mostly, the entire day in a college is a rush, with class lectures in the early morning and late night sessions by councils. However, after all the lectures and sessions, none of the people complain about it and rather cherishes about a wonderful learning experience. However, whenever there is leisure time, it’s mostly about spending time together, listening to music or playing sports to relax and get prepared for another day with new learning experiences. Apart from everything else, the view from college is exceptionally beautiful. You get to see a great bird's-eye glance of the entire village from the hilltop. The biodiversity in the college itself is really huge, as a lot of plants and animals could be observed. In the campus, a lot of recreational activities are organized by different councils which provide opportunities for students to collaborate and enjoy their time together despite all the hectic schedule.
Which ABG Company and Why?
I would like to work in Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited as I believe that working for the fashion brands like Louis Philippe, Peter England, Forever 21, will help me enhance the marketing skills that I currently possess. Indian Apparel Industry is second largest contributor in the retail industry and as the demands for international brands is increasing in the market, by working for such international brands, I believe it will help me learn skills of brand management and also various marketing strategies that will be most suitable as per the need of the target audience.
