Stepping into IIM Indore was the first time for me when I got to live away from home. But I never thought the acceptance into this new life would be so easy. With the support of amazing friends, seniors and faculty the journey becomes very smooth. The best thing about the campus is its infrastructure, cleanliness and various peaceful spots to relax, the spellbound beauty of the campus which is something to admire. The Other thing which is unique to my campus is an Olympic size swimming pool and a view to admire that beautiful swimming pool. Generally, a campus has at-most 2 levels of operation. But my campus has got 3 levels. The ‘pataal lok’ for PGP 1 students, ‘Dharti-lok’ for PGP-2 and other residential and the ‘swarg-lok’ which the prabandh shikhar where our academic block lies. You don’t need to go to the gym, campus itself provides you so much avenues of burning your calories.
The Industrial interface program is another which is unique about IIM Indore. The live projects are being allotted to all the students from various industry domains around Indore. This gives students many freshers student like me exposure to first industrial experience. Dressing into formals visiting the company 2-3 times each month and then having exploring delicacies of Indore was such a scintillating experience.
IIM Indore offers a wide variety of courses that contribute to the diversity in age, gender, region and work experience is something unique. The presence of so many people in the campus really brings an enticing aura to the campus. The networking opportunities are enormous on the campus where I have developed so many relationships with people. For some I am their mother, crying shoulder to someone else, dancing partner to another and a reliable and trusting friend for my core friend circle. The campus gave me so many relationships which will last for a lifetime.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
I want to join ABG capital in Aditya Birla group of companies. The choice is quite obvious as finance is my preferred domain where I want to work and see my professional career flourishing. Being a commerce student and getting an internship opportunity in Deutsche Bank, I have a good amount of experience in financial markets and corporate finance. I would like to work corporate and treasury services department in ABG capital
