Being a resident of Odisha, the word XIMB creates a ripple of excitement in the spine. I was already aware of the high academic standard, nice infrastructure, student diversity and rich alumni base that XIMB has.
I made up my mind and planned to join XIMB without any second thought. I got the opportunity for the same in the year 2018 and joined the college.
XIMB provides an environment for the holistic development of the students. The entire college is student-driven. All the activities inside the campus are managed by students. This would provide me with an opportunity to gain managerial skills.
The college has a rigorous academic curriculum. That does not mean that the campus environment is dull and mundane. Various cultural activities and sports activities take place in college throughout the year. Athlos, the annual sports meet and Xpressions, the biggest cultural fest of eastern India are the two most important events. I believe that XIMB will give me a chance to study hard and play harder. In doing so, I will develop time management skills.
The college boasts of an excellent infrastructure which is enough to accommodate and fulfil the needs of students.
It has excellent faculties who have published articles in various International Journals and who follow a case study based teaching methodology.
It is well recognized by Industry honchos. Business leaders often visit campus and provide valuable insights into corporate life. Some of the corporate competitions in which students of XIMB have brought laurels include Godrej loud, Deloitte Convergence, Mahindra War Room speaks testimony of the talent base at XIMB.
Finally, Xuberance 2018, the annual placement process of XIMB was quite good and satisfactory and industries have once again shown their faith for XIMB.
WHICH ABG COMPANY WOULD YOU WANT TO WORK AND WHY?
I would like to work at Aditya Birla capital limited. It would give me an exposure to the financial markets. The company has got a wide range of products for it’s customers and it is quite diversified. As such, I believe a stint in this company will add to the existing knowledge on finance that I have.
