When you begin your journey to IIM Kashipur, you start to realize that this journey will be a bit different from conventional journeys. The reason? The accessibility of IIM Kashipur is not the best, due to the slightly rural setting of the city of Kashipur. Well, you should try not to hold that against our campus, as it is this very rural setting that adds to the charm of our campus!
Once you do reach our lush-green campus, the journey doesn’t seem so bad after all; as one enters the campus, your eyes would come upon our amphitheatre, the backdrop of which is formed by the foothills of the Outer Himalayas – a picturesque setting indeed!
IIM Kashipur proudly boasts of a green campus, both in the literal sense and in the way the campus infrastructure has been designed to minimise the carbon footprint of itself. Our students fall asleep to the sounds of nature and wake up to the melody of various birds, thanks to the green cover present in and around our campus. Even if we students sleep less, we definitely sleep peacefully, at this campus.
I would say that the rigour of the IIM Curriculum is balanced out in a beautiful manner with our peaceful campus, and that is precisely what makes the campus of IIM Kashipur unique.
Which ABG Company would I want to work for and why?
In the short-term, I would like to work for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL), as this segment is quite dynamic in nature with considerable scope for expansion. In line with my interests, I would have a chance to gain exposure in the Marketing and Operations Function of the company.
In the long-term, I would want to work for the Aditya Birla Management Corporation Private Limited (ABMCPL), as it is the apex corporate body for the Aditya Birla Group, providing strategic vision, and direction, to the various companies. This would be in line with my long-term interests of getting into a General Management Role, wherein I would be a part of the strategic decision-making process for an enterprise as huge as The Aditya Birla Group.
