Brand loyalty and Brand connect are two of many concepts taught to marketing students in MBA colleges. Just as I thought of writing an article on this platform about Aditya Birla's influence on me and society as a whole, these two words reverberated in my ears. I cannot actually gauge the influence of ABG on my life but can certainly share the unconscious connect i always had with the group's products.
"Kya Idea hai sirji". Yes, u got that right. Idea was the first SIM i used on my very first phone which i got in 2011. The 'Firsts' are always an integral parts of our lives, we rarely forget the things which happened for the first time in our lives, be it your first love ('first' thing popped up in my brain to compare), or your first i-phone, or the first day at your school/college etc. Idea was one very few early birds in the market when telecom industry has just started to boom. The time when each individual wanted to own a phone, Idea was always on everyone's watch list. It has been 8 years now, time went by, phones changed, technologies boomed and became obsolete but one thing which is same in my phone is still ABG's Idea. Maybe the terms which i started my write-up with, Brand loyalty and Brand connect, can be explained by this. 'Idea' is just one of the products of ABG's which had impacted my life. There are many others which always had been with me unconsciously, be it the cement which was used in construction of my house or those formal wears which i prefer and trust over other brands.
Every major event in my life, all my ups and down, my growth as a student, as an engineer, as a management student and as an individual as a whole, ABG was directly or indirectly involved.
