I remember when I was in my undergraduate program at NIFT, Kolkata, I had visited XIMB campus, back to back two years as a guest college to participate in various events at Xpressions, one of the renowned cultural fests of Eastern India. At that time, I had no idea of the campus life or the kind of program that this college had to offer. This was back in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
Five years later, while applying for the same college that I had visited as a participant from a guest college, it felt like going back in time and connecting the dots. Everything that I had witnessed during the competitions felt like a trailer of what was about to come if I got selected at XIMB. And keeping true to its nature, the life here at XIMB has been eventful, every day, ever since I have stepped into the grounds of this college.
Needless to say, that like all other MBA aspirants, I too had applied at a series of colleges, including all the IIMs. But fate had something else stored for me, and I converted the Interview call to admission, at XIMB, before converting any other college.
It was not only this old relation that I had with XIMB that made me choose to come here. Given the 31 years of legacy that this Institute holds, XIMB has always been on my most preferred list of MBA colleges because of its dynamic course structure and the level of opportunities that are provided t students not only throughout the country but also internationally. What makes XIMB stand out is the fact that it is a part of the Jesuit Society, and also the extensive Alumni base who are spread all across the globe making some difference every day.
WHICH ABG COMPANY I WOULD WANT TO WORK FOR AND WHY?
So now that I am a part of this legacy, here at XIMB, expecting Aditya Birla Group to come to our campus is not only my dream but a dream shared by all my batchmates as well as the seniors.
Belonging from a fashion background, as a graduate in Bachelor of Fashion Technology, at NIFT, Kolkata; Aditya Birla Group, it’s one of strongest developing brand clothes corporations throughout The Indian subcontinent. Madura Fashion & Lifestyle and brands like Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Philip Britain and Louis Philippe are some of the dream companies that I have always aspired to work for.
Madura Lifestyle & Fashion, which is the retail store enterprise of ABG, is one of the leading retail stores with caters to various brands of the ABG, both offline as well as an online portal called Trendin.com, which is a one-stop shopping destination for both men and women.
Getting an opportunity to enhance my skills and experience in terms of management, in the due course at XIMB, and also being able to be a part of the Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., which also consists of Pantaloons Fashion and Retail, I would be able to put to use both my undergraduate as well as MBA program learnings and experience and serve ABG with an enhanced combination of both the qualities and skills needed for a technical as well as management job role.
