It feels as if it was yesterday when I was diligently preparing for my MBA entrances with a long-pursued dream of doing an MBA and then, one day, all my hard work paid off when I received the offer letter for my admission in XUB, one of the most coveted institutions in the country. So yes dreams do come true. I have always believed that people are indeed the most important part of any organisation and hence I chose to be an HR manager to contribute my bit in the corporate industry. I feel extremely honored, happy and proud to be a part of Xavier School of Human Resources (XAHR).
My campus is indeed unique. Surrounded with lush green trees all over and a place where I feel so close to nature. My campus constitutes the people from all the different places which makes it an immense diverse campus. Such diversity definitely calls for an exposure and valued learning. It feels as if people here do not sleep, the campus life is full of vigor. We need to be on our toes all the time so that we do not miss out on anything. Group activities, presentations, assignments are always on the roll. Hence, Life moves fast but is one of the best experiences.
It has just been a month and I have already started to admire this place to a great extent. I am sure I am going to take a lot of wonderful memories from here. Let’s see how things unfold in future and yes I hope for the best.
ABG company I want to work for and why
I would like to work for Pantaloons Fashion and Retail firm, part of the Aditya Birla group. It operates in multiple retail formats, in both, value and lifestyle, segments of the Indian consumer market. As it is evident that pantaloons is among the leading fashion brands in India today catering to the needs and desires of myriad of people. Since I always had an immense interest in field of fashion as well so I believe that I will able to do justice to my job of a Human Resource Manager. Moreover, I have visited the multiple stores and I have observed that the work culture there is enough to attract me since everyone there always seemed to be pretty aware about their products and services. Every employee seems to carry a pride in his work and hence it would be a great opportunity for me to drive this positive work culture to a higher level through my learnings and skills.
