Like many other Indian students, I have always dreamed of one thing which is completing my studies, getting a job and earning a lot of money. But after completing my graduation when I joined the corporate world I realized just a degree in engineering is not enough. It takes more than technical knowledge to work in the industry. Knowing the in and out of a machine is not enough we need to understand the in and out of an organization as well.
So, keeping that in mind again like many other engineering students I started my journey for getting into top B-Schools. The journey involved various stages starting from preparation to appearing for CAT, XAT and other exams to attending GD-PI.
Now that I think back all of it appears to be a blur. But the outcome was finally I landed at Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, famously known as XIMB.
XIMB, a dream in the world of dreams.
Now the question is what does XIMB have different to give to its student form other b-schools or I can say what made me choose XIMB. The first thing that comes to my mind is its culture. A college with 30 years of experience in the field of management studies. It gives its students the environment where they can explore their abilities and gain new qualities. It increases their thirst for knowledge not only at theoretical but also on a practical level. It also has good teaching faculties. Its pedagogy is good. It gives you the freedom to choose your own electives from the wide array of topics when the time comes.
Last but not the least is the student committees. With around 20+ committees we will get a lot of chance to be part of various activities.
I believe XIMB will help me achieve my goals in life through its curriculum and culture.

Aditya Birla Group is one of the most successful Indian multinational conglomerates. I am interested in renewable energy and mining department of the company. I can relate to these domains both as an engineer as well as a management student. Renewable sources are the future of the world. We can explore these field and a lot of value addition can be done in these areas. I believe I can contribute to this industry through my experience and knowledge and learn a lot in the process which will enhance my skills further.
