Born and brought up in a business family, I was intrigued by business management at a very young age and gradually got inclined towards it. Pursuing an MBA, became one of my fondest dreams, as it is the platform which could help me enhance and explore all the essential managerial skills required in building analytical thinking. When CAT results were announced, I was mulling over various colleges, indecisively I kept wavering between the choices. After finally articulating my vivid thoughts, I ended up choosing Xavier’s Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) a highly prestigious institution serving for more than 30 years in cultural and academic legacy. With a wide alumni network and level of placements, XIMB stands out from the rest.
At the very beginning, like a nervous kid, sceptical, whether my admission in XIMB would turn fruitful or not. Well, all my dilemmas came to an end when I got a chance to meet some of my seniors and faculty members who guided and alleviated my doubts, making me a firm believer that in XIMB will propel my short and long-term goals. With dialects of people from various cultures and religion, one likes to interact and share ideas. Initial days were pretty hard, I was on the field, running and searching for my roll Senior. At the very onset, we were loaded with assignments and given deadlines for submission. This drift from an IT software engineer and then back to a college student was overall an exhilarating experience. I look forward to taking courses and meet a different group of people to learn business insights and hope to gain an experiential and diverse learning experience
XIMB is one stop shop for brilliant minds as you would get many opportunities to prove yourself. Be it on the cultural or academic front, XIMB hosts many case study competitions, presentations, Xpressions where a student gets a chance to showcase his talent and prove himself to the outer world. In a very short span of time, I realized that my decision of getting admission in XIMB was the most important and apt thing that I would cherish in my life.
ABG company, I would want to work for:
I would like to work with Idea Cellular Limited as it is one of the top three mobile operators in India and is ranked 6th in the world in terms of subscribers. Being a computer science engineer, telecom industry fascinates me a lot and I always wanted to work over there. So, Idea cellular will provide me great exposure and opportunity to learn, so that I can build a bright future ahead. With a unique advertisement concept, Idea has always impressed me. I would like to pour my dedication and passion to work in this company as ‘An Idea can change your life’.
