While the CAT 2023 exams getting closer and closer, the tension seems to sneak up on aspirants unexpectedly. However, to avoid the pressure of being able to perform well in the final exam, aspirants need to continuously practice and evaluate their progress in the CAT mock test 2023.

Moreover, attempting Mock tests is important but infusing a few techniques while attempting tests plays a key role in leveling an aspirant's score in the succeeding mock tests as well as the final CAT score. So here are useful tips for the aspirants that they can use in their CAT mock test 2023 during the last month of their Preparation:

      1. It’s time to play on your strengths

Managing time effectively becomes crucial as the CAT 2023 exam is nearby. The worst thing you could do at this stage is to pick up a new topic and try to be average from bad rather than becoming better at topics you’re already good at.

      2. Speed up!

This is the time when you should focus even more on attempting as many questions as possible (It's not about guessing here). When you’re focusing on your strengths, it’s easier to be quicker because your brain can process something faster if you already know it. Don’t panic and hurry up. Working on your speed doesn’t mean you skip through questions without reading or solving them properly.

      3. Attempt all questions without a negative marking

This one is a no-brainer. And while you can write any kind of answer, please prefer the most logical one. Avoid writing an answer randomly if you haven’t tried solving the question at least once.

      4. Analyzing mock tests

Usually, it is recommended to resolve the entire paper again after the mock test and before looking at the solution because that helps you analyze whether you made a mistake or couldn’t attempt a question due to time constraints or you actually didn’t know the answer to that question. And you can still do that if you have enough time. However, due to time constraints, it’s recommended that you check and resolve only the questions you made a mistake in. Those are the ones you chose to attempt, which means those are your strong areas (which you should primarily focus on, as you would become better at resolving those types of questions and avoid mistakes you’ve made in your previous tests).

       5. Revising concepts before mock tests

What could be worse than the question you knew you could answer perfectly but couldn’t remember the formula? One must have faced these issues often. So, take out your notes and brush up on your lessons before you go and attempt that mock test. This will also make you feel more confident and prepared.

Final tip: As we are approaching the end of the beginning of your MBA journey, you should start treating your mock tests as the actual CAT exam.

Do what you’d do there – keep your water bottle with you, avoid taking bio-breaks for the entire duration, revise the concepts, and most importantly, keep your mind calm and steady.

Don’t judge yourself by the scores of your mock test if you aren’t scoring well and don’t feel overconfident if you’re scoring too well in your mock tests. The D-Day is way too unexpected.

Keep calm and give it your best shot. Hope these tips are helpful for you.

All the Best for CAT 2023!
