Aditya Birla Group Is Big In My Life Because
A great product is not that doesn't need an introduction or a name to be remembered by. It’s just a memory. It’s the nostalgic laughter preserved in everyday routine. It’s your warm lunch box on the winter morning, the aroma of mom's paranthas well preserved in freshwraps that was later crumbled into aluminum balls and thrown at each other. It is the memory of those countless trips to forever21 with your girlfriends, trying on clothes, clicking pictures over unsure laughter.
Do you remember your first interview? Dressed sharply in a crisp formal shirt waiting nervously for your turn. That was probably either Allen Solly or Van Heusen. Also, who doesn't know or must have heard of Ultra Tech cement. Aditya Birds Group, the name that was a part of your life long before you acknowledged its existence. That's what a brand does. Founded in 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla, it is an Indian multinational conglomerate, headquartered in Worli, Mumbai, India and operates in 35 countries. The company's products range from Insurance, Financing, Advising to Fashion and E-commerce to name a few.
India’s third largest private sector conglomerate, ABG has targeted a wide array of audience. It has also ventured into online fashion retail, targeting the country’s millennial spenders through curated fashion. Also their brick and mortar stores are my one of the most used products of the group.
ABG has been a part of my life and a recognized name in my household. It’s not just the products that we have used over the years. It’s the habits that we have formed. It’s the choices that have stayed with us. It’s the idea of living a comfortable life, the idea of taking care, and the idea of providing for your family. The group resonates with it more than any other brand name. It has been an integral part of my growing up and it still strikes a chord with me, providing for my everyday needs. I don't need to say more, lest I cuddle with my own nostalgic memories and curl into a goof ball. I will leave you with this thought while you rush out to get groceries from the super market, which by the way is another ABG product- MORE supermarket.
My tryst to make an impact
I quite associate to Aditya Birla Group’s brand, Peter England’s tagline, “Beginning of good things”. I tried to make an impact on my life and see it growing henceforth. When I was in my 9th standard, I still remember vividly, a girl in a nutshell. She was afraid to speak in public, living with an inhibition that she “Can’t be better than them”. She avoided every chance to avoid public speaking only when it isn’t reading from the book without looking anyone. I remember the Hindi elocution in the 10th standard. The poem chosen, read and learnt and then revised fifty times. And the next moment I was on stage, facing around seventy people and I murmured, “Mai aas ka diya hun, Vishwas ka diya hun” and was asked to be louder and I spurted the words and rushed back to my seat. It was embarrassing and a part of me in ruins and still saying “I Can’t be better than them”. That was when I started writing in the diary, trying to hunt every iota of confidence in me and placing it together and till date I do that. The challenge is persuading ourselves against all the odds. I failed in my further attempts but I continued striving for “Beginning of good things” and today it amazes me when I look back. A person isn’t made in a day nor the conglomerates as big as the Aditya Birla Group. Both evolve by imbibing the five core values of Integrity, Commitment, Passion, Seamlessness and Speed.
