The best thing about IIM Udaipur is its diversity. IIM U has a diverse community with people from all backgrounds, religious, cultural, and academic alike. Not only does the IIM U offer a diversity of students from all over India, it also has a decent number of students from around the world. This diversity is what makes IIM U unique. It influences how students socialize as well as advances interaction of different cultures and backgrounds in the classroom. One of the differentiating things about IIM Udaipur is that it offers a variety of majors, clubs, and opportunities that reflect on the diverse student body bringing everyone together.
There are too many great things about IIM U that can be talked. However, one that greatly stands out, and in my opinion is the most important one, is the resources available to you as a student. IIMU greatly tries to emphasize student growth, not only personally, but also professionally by holding career events, industry leader guest speaker series, classes strictly for the preparation and perfection of student resumes, and much more. Coming from an area where professional sources are limited, IIM Udaipur really does thrive to provide the world at your grasp.
The study abroad program i.e. STEP offered by IIM U is one of the unique and most global programs in India. The college gives international exposure to almost everyone, no matter what your major or area of interest. Most students get abroad exposure at least once. One of the major reasons I chose IIM U was because they were the giving an opportunity to either study abroad for a trimester or to do an international live project.
One parameter that probably differentiates IIM U from the crowd is Academic Rigor. Where in you would be busy preparing for your exams, writing assignments and projects all at the same time. I think one of the biggest reasons that make IIM Udaipur special in its own right is the faculty. We have extremely renowned academics, professors and management thinkers as faculty at IIM Udaipur. The method of instruction at IIM U is case-based; professors are able to generate wonderful insights, which creates an atmosphere of learning. The faculty also strive hard to maintain a level of excellence at the institution, working on research, with the industry and leading think tanks to improve management thinking in the country.
Anybody who is willing to start up by himself or herself are provided huge support by the college. We have a dedicated club for budding entrepreneurs that acts as a support system. We also have an incubation centre to incubate the startup.
Academic diversity has brought in a set of wonderfully different views that make the learning process even more interesting. In addition, there are not only academically strong students; they excel at sports, dance, music, dramatics, literary activities and so many other spheres in student life. Though there may be quite a rigorous coursework, students here do have a life.
Which group of Aditya Birla would you like to work with?
I would like to work with the Aditya Birla retail limited. It is a retail arm of the Aditya Birla group. It is the fourth largest supermarket chain in India under the brand name more. In India, the retail sector is growing very fast and a lot of new developments are going on. I did my internship in united biscuits wherein I got the chance to regularly visit many Aditya Birla retail stores in Delhi. I got to know various aspects of the retail store, which fascinated me a lot. Therefore, I am interested to work in the Aditya Birla retail store.
