As the world moves towards more chaos, and innocent lives are lost in senseless violence, it is of utmost importance that we realize our duties as Netizens. If there’s one thing that the brief history of social media has taught us so far, it’s that these powerful tools are a double-edged sword: they can be used to show support and help coordinate rescue efforts, and they can be abused as tools for spreading malignant information.
Clearly over the past few years, we have been witnessing several new enterprises blossom with great ideas – only to disrupt traditional business models through iterative, incremental and extreme innovation – coupled with the supreme objective of solving enterprise-wide (B2B) or/and consumer-focused (B2C) problems – at scale and with speed in its execution.
What answers would you expect to the question – what would define the next few years of the quicksilver world landscape? The Chinese would probably bet on their recent devaluation of yuan to work wonders for them in the next few years to shift from an investment-led growth to a consumption-led growth. The Russians will fear the falling crude oil prices might wipe off their economy. But for India, it is the demographic tarot that will decide its fate and its chances of becoming the next behemoth that it is often touted to be.
