On 30th may 2018, finally I received my XAHR offer letter, and that single email changed my life forever. The hard work that I did for 6 months had finally paid off. On 18th June 2018 I started my MBA journey, and the 1 st 4 days of orientation at college was really hectic, and I believe it was meant to be that way so that we get used to the rigorous curriculum of XAHR.
It was a Saturday afternoon and I was on my way to a movie when I got the confirmation mail from XUB, that I had converted HR. There was a sense of excitement that took over on all my emotions. To pursue MBA from XAHR was something I had always dreamt of.
For a person like me, who has spent twenty-one years of my life in one place, moving out into a new city, that too in a residential campus, has been quite a big deal. I was finally going to take up the challenge, and the feeling, despite being bittersweet, made me look forward to it.
Indian Institute of Management Kashipur, a name which can be trusted with a brand which everyone wants to enjoy, is a management institute which was established in 2011. It was one of the IIMs started along with six other new IIM. The institute is set up with the objective of providing quality management education while sensitising students towards the needs of the society.
Located in Kashipur, a place that none of us would have bothered to search for unless we started out CAT preparation. I would like to go to the extent of saying that it was IIM Kashipur that gave this place a visiting card to the outer world. A Campus deliberately located in one of the backward regions in Uttarakhand out of the hope that it will develop the surrounding regions. It is exactly doing what it was intended to do.
IIM Kashipur lies in the heartland of India, Uttarakhand. Its location is its USP, name the factor which makes a B-school great and you’ve it on a stone’s throw at Kashipur, be it the strategically devised location of IIM Kashipur or its proximity to India’s most favorite tourism sit. We’ll delve into these details but first let me walk you through how the North got its first IIM. It was part of the 2nd generation IIM’s which were set up during the Eleventh Five Year Plan. The foundation stone of the institute was laid on 29 April 2011. It was the first IIM in the North, it was followed by more IIMS in the North in the form of IIM Sirmaur, IIM Amritsar and IIM Jammu which were set up during 2015-16.
To tell the truth, “IIM” tag is the foremost reasons which make the students feel proud that they are studying in a national importance college. They are many features that made me choose IIM Kashipur campus.
Everyone knows that IIM Kashipur is one of the leading Business Schools in the country. Being a fresher there were several parameters which led me to the decision of joining IIM Kashipur.
