My MDI Story
My story is not something in which the writer takes you through a roller coaster ride of things which he had already pictured or which had already happened with him over a period of time. It’s the complete opposite. Even I don’t know how the story will unfold itself but I believe it will just the way I picture it too. As today I had my very first class at Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon. I became a part of MDI this very weekend. And the very first thing that comes to your mind when you enter the campus is that it has something very calm about it even after being a part of the hustle and bustle of one the fastest growing places of India. But don’t let this fool you behind all this calmness there is a silent fast paced environment which makes you overwhelmed. And this teaches you one of the most important lessons of your life which is – “One’s most valuable resource is his/her time”. I joined the campus almost 15 days after the start of the course. And was a bit worried by the amount of work I have to catch up to. Be it preparation of your CV, meeting up with your group for late night case discussion or having a discussion with your senior about the course. There is always something for you to do. And this is just the beginning. In the next month, I think I will have to say goodbye to one of the dearest things for me which is a good night sleep. With the club activities starting in a few days followed by mid term in a couple of weeks. This is just the beginning of a very bumpy ride. And I hope I will enjoy each and every moment of my next 2 years.
