Ask any MBA aspirant, why he wants to do MBA and from where (not in an interview)? Their honest answer would be, fat paycheck and a college with good ranking, especially IIM brand. So, can we just live our life with a great salary and wearing well-branded shirts daily?. Life is bigger than salary, brand, and ranking. I am not going to justify in this article that IIM Kashipur is the best, but the life at IIM Kashipur is bigger than you think.
Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur is a management institute which was established on 2011 located in southern part of Uttarakhand. Kashipur is a place far away from big cities in which everyone is surrounded by nature’s fresh air. There are many factors such as environment, infrastructure, diversity, faculty, etc which makes this place quite different from other management institutes in India.
It is that time of the year when you are all done and dusted with the CAT, results have come, and you have scored an awesome 95+ percentile and are sure to get one of the prestigious IIMs. The interview seasons have also ended and you have given your best, resulting into getting offer letters from most institutes and now is where the confusion starts creeping in - especially when you are one of those who are getting offers from all the so-called tier-II IIMs, it gets really difficult to choose just the right one. As I'm on my way to join the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Kashipur, I'm writing this piece to express how excited I'm to be a part of this institute. I had come to the Institute on the day of my registration but left the campus so after my registration was done as I had to complete my notice period at my company Infosys. As I move out of my comfort zone I look forward to the opportunities IIM Kashipur is going to provide me and embrace it.
Fifteen days back, there I was in a small city in Kerala, weighing all the options I had in choosing a B school and now here I'm at IIM KASHIPUR. The long 2894 Km journey in itself was a wonderful experience. Being a person who appreciates nature, I always had a special feeling in me for Uttarakhand. The long lush green fields along with the soothing countryside wind welcomed me to one of the most beautiful campuses in our country. The red brick structures complimenting the nature's beauty literally gave me a glimpse of the exciting two years ahead.
