The Himalayan IIM: Living The Dream
On 4th of July, as I woke up to the call of my boss in the morning, I was randomly going through mails on Gmail where my eyes suddenly stuck to letters ‘IIM’. Having always dreamt of studying in an IIM, finally getting a call after a really long wait from IIM Sirmaur was a step closer to my dream. However, as I further read the mail, I froze in panic as my induction was to start the next day. One day to collect all the necessary documents and report to Sirmaur from Pune the very next day seemed a very crazy idea but after all, deadlines were something I would have to handle day in and day out in IIM. I quickly called my parents and told them about the good news and asked them to be ready for a crazy road trip from New Delhi to Sirmaur. Having booked the last flight for New Delhi, I literally ran out of the PG and started gathering all the documents required. Luckily, I was able to get them all done in one day and rushed to catch my flight reaching home at 12:30 at night. The next day, with a lack of sleep and happiness in my eyes as I reached the campus at 10:30 in the morning, all I could see to the farthest point was green.

Xavier School of Human Resource Management. The name appeals for itself. The heavy weight that the brand carries all over the country is not the only factor that made me take a decision to land here, XUBALAND, as it is called. The feeling of being a part of XAHR started much earlier than our inception. Yes, thanks to the Illuminatix committee for showing great enthusiasm and responsibility towards the new XUBians. Be it a doubt so trivial as what toiletries should we carry with us, to the most important queries of academics and placements, they have always responded us with a lot of enthusiasm. Their dedication towards ensuring that we face no issues in our joining, gave us a majestic impression of the culture that is followed by the university.

The day I stepped my feet at IIM Trichy, all of my dreams have come true to get into a prestigious institution, an Indian Institute of Management. The aroma that an IIM could give is incomparable and inexplicable. The state of art campus of IIM Trichy is just an incentive on top of that.

IIM Trichy – Where Each Class Is An Experience
It was 2 nd of July 2018 when the academic term for the batch of 2018-2020 started. IIM Trichy never sleeps and most students were busy doing some activity or other the previous night, yet on that morning I saw a class full of enthusiastic students. There wasn’t one sleepy face. Among them, I sat quietly with a big smile on my face. Like Aamir Khan said in ‘3 Idiots’ , that classroom was one place I always wanted to be in and when I finally was sitting there I couldn’t have a big smile on my face. I reached almost 10 mins early like most of my other peers. I was sitting there in awe of the state of the art classroom I would be studying for the next two years. Then the second it was 8: 30 the professor began the class. Even before he introduced himself or the course he said “You will never forget your first class”. By the end of the class, I was in complete agreement with this statement he made.
