11th April 2018. A day that has been etched forever in my life. The day when all the tension and turmoil came to a halt and a feeling of euphoria spread all over. IIFT had just declared the merit list of MBA(IB) for the Batch of 2018-20 and in no time my WhatsApp was flooded with congratulatory messages. It took some time for the feeling to sink in but in no time I imagined myself sitting on Top of the World, gazing at the Wings of Wisdom, trying to seep in everything I could from this great symbol of Knowledge.

25 June 2018. For many, this is just a date. Just a tiny little speck in this journey called life. But for me, it was something different. For me, it was the start of a journey into the unknown. The journey which is called MBA. Even though before deciding to pursue MBA, I had consulted many people and thus had an idea of what lay ahead for me for the upcoming two years. But all that mental preparation came to naught during the first day of my MBA at IIFT. The moment I entered through the gate of IIFT into the lush green campus, I knew this wasn’t going to be easy. But even in my wildest dreams, I couldn’t have imagined what lay in store for me for the first few weeks.

IIFT - A Mecca For Trade

It was a joyous moment for me when I got selected in IIFT, Delhi. So with a lot of excitement, I packed up my bags to start a new journey at IIFT. The campus is situated in heart of Delhi, National Capital of India. It is remotely located away from the hustle & bustle of a city. Adjoining the campus is Sanjay Van one of the of the largest forest patches in the city with its wilderness & greenery provides calm, serenity to campus. As you enter campus first thing one sees is Wings of Wisdom which signifies Knowledge is power as it inspires you every time you see it, to strive hard & keep going. My favourite place in the campus is Top of the World where most of the batch photos are taken. Then the Atrium in the Administrative block which hosts coolest parties on campus pan India. The view of Qutub Minar & Sanjay Van from some OH hostel rooms in morning is breath-taking.
