They say Life becomes easier when people, who are crazy enough to find happiness in tough situations, are with you. I am staying in the IIM Raipur Campus for almost a month. I interacted with lots of people with different backgrounds, life and ideology. It was very tough for me to shortlist some of the crazy candidates of my batch PGP 2018-20. IIM Raipur - What Makes The Institute Worth It?

Nestled in the outskirts of the capital city of Raipur, the Indian Institute of Management is located in the village Sejbahar. The institute, without any infrastructure of its own, has been operating out of a block of the Government Engineering College, Raipur for almost 8 years now. Apart from GEC Raipur, the newly established Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai, set up in 2016, is the institute’s newest neighbour.

When I asked this question to myself there were a lot of things coming into my mind since it has given me the best experience till now. But when I did secondary research I came to know that good faculty, good administration, exposure, studying environment, clubs and committees almost all the things are more or less similar in all IIMs. Then again I questioned myself what makes IIM Raipur unique and I got a unique feature that many of the IIM ’s don’t have and that is Foreign Exchange Program. Yes, This is the most peculiar feature in IIM Raipur almost it has relation with around 12 countries comprising 18 colleges.

Personally, this question has not been easy to answer. Before joining IIM Raipur, I had enrolled in another prestigious B-school, where I had already completed 20 days of classes. It was a crucial decision to make wherein I had to leave the safety net and the cushion of a set atmosphere, to join IIM Raipur, where classes had already started. Although it was a tough decision to take, I have not regretted since. The brand IIM will stay for life and the campus has attracted a lot of brilliant minds which will make learning a wholesome process.
