I still remember, when I joined my first company, there was an introductory program for us named “From Campus to Corporate”. The whole idea of having it was to make people acquainted with the professional life. At that time, little did I know that after almost 3 years, I will be again entering into college life to pursue my masters with a slight difference, that this time it is “From Corporate to Campus”.
I was playing cricket in the nets at my companies ground. Although my mind was on the ground my heart was always waiting for the XIMB final list as I was still accepting the conversion after a decent enough interview and a GD where I hardly spoke anything.
Every single facet of XIMB campus is unique in its own way. Let’s walk through a few of them.
When I attended a series of interviews for admissions to Business Schools, a question I was asked was Why MBA? When I managed to gain provisional admission in those colleges, I was faced with another question – Why College X?
A couple of months back I was sitting in front of my workstation at 11 pm in the night trying to debug a piece of code, never did I thought that two months down the lane I would be writing this. It is indeed true that I took a diversion in my career path by pursuing an interest in management but I was a little sceptical about the pedagogy aspect. I got calls from multiple institutes but I zeroed in on Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. Me and my ilk mooted on WHY XIMB?
Amid a lot of chaos and anxieties, I choose to be a part of the X-life, the marquee experience of the most sought-after b-school, “XIMB”. After going through the rigorous and gruelling process of Group Discussion and Personal Interviews, I got the admit to the flagship two-year MBA-Business Management program of XIMB.
Xavier Institute of Management, one of the premier b-schools of India is where I have decided to enrol and be a part of Xavier’s family. 17th June 2018 is when I stepped in the campus for the first time, and since then every minute spent has been a ravishing experience. The vibe that the 35-acre state of the art facility resonates instilled inside me an energy I had never experienced before. One of the Unique features that make the XIMB unique is the blend between academics and extra-curricular it provides and the way it has been able to give a feel of it to new recruits in less than 20 days. It has barely been 20 days at the campus and I have already submitted a few assignments, had group discussions and make presentations, participated in X- Sports- sports event having ten different games, and experiencing X- Capades- a cultural event. This shows how diverse is the experience at XIMB campus of which I have got a taste in just 20 days.
