India’s biggest B-school festival, Unmaad, is the annual cultural fest of IIM Bangalore and is now at its 22nd edition. Unmaad has seen various themes in each passing year and this year’s theme is an all-time favourite- “The Box Office Edition”.

In the field of Sports, one needs to be physically and mentally fit to achieve their peak form and also constantly improve their performance. Players consistently face a number of challenges on a daily basis be it injuries or losing matches that eventually take a toll on their well being and reflect in their performance. Abhishek Bhat, currently pursuing an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur underwent a similar journey. Abhishek has played for a variety of cricket clubs in Australia, Bangalore, and J&K. In his professional career, he had the opportunity to play alongside big cricketers in Saurashtra, Bengaluru Blasters, and Chennai Super Kings. With the might of steel, Abhishek becomes the next chapter of the Tata Steel & InsideIIM REAL STEEL series.
How would you feel about doing one year in a foreign country? A Dual Country Program is beneficial for B-School students in a variety of ways. B-School students get to experience a similar curriculum in two different countries, under the same institution. In such programs, students get to interact with students from different countries and continents. This helps the students get an understanding of different cultures and also get an idea about the work culture in that particular country. They also get the opportunity to do their summer internship abroad which helps build a network out of India and gives a larger perspective in terms of their careers. In this video, Harshit Sadhwani (PGDM Operations) and Manish Singhania (PGDM Finance) are students from IMT, Ghaziabad who were part of the Dual Country program.
B school life can be very stressful for some. At times, students can feel overwhelmed with their projects, classes and all the other added responsibilities that come with their life in a b school. Many students move cities, experiencing hostel life for the first time. If they aren’t able to cope with these changes, they tend to get demotivated. What can you do to deal with all this? If you’re unable to juggle all these things, it doesn’t mean that you never will. Stress, anxiety, depression are all a part of life. The best way to deal with them is to talk about it. In this video, we spoke to Prof. Navodita Mishra, Prof. Sasmita Giri, Prof. Shaji Kurian and student Kratika Mishra, who speak of this unique culture and how it benefits students.
