Part A - Why Aditya Birla Group Is Big in Your Life

The unknown role of Aditya Birla Group_Goa Institute of Management
Knowingly or unknowingly Aditya Birla group has been affecting my life in some way or the other and I am only realizing this while writing this article. When I match up the products which I have used from my early life to date, there are many from the Aditya Birla Group. Ranging from the ABG’s aluminum foil in which I would take my school tiffins to have my first formals from Peter England. When I list out the products I realize the most important thing on which I use these ABG’s products is its quality. There is a term in Hindi which say “Sasta aur Tikau” that means cheap and durable. And I believe that ABG products stand along with this. The products may not be cheap in pricing, but they are definitely economical for a person like me who is from a middle-class family and has a humble background. I remember when I had started using the mobile phone, the sim cards and calling rate were a bit high as compared to the rates today. Idea cellular being a market leader was providing the best network and hence was considered to be a status symbol to have an idea sim i.e an idea mobile number. The adds by Idea cellular like "no ullu banawing" and "What an idea sirji !!" were very entertaining and still remembered by me. Currently, I am using an idea cellular sim card and has been receiving fantastic service from it. Apparels from Peter England, Van Heusen, Louis Phillipe are a big part of my wardrobe and I believe that they are the best in class considering the durability and quality of the product.

An essential part of everyone’s life is "transformation", and we always remember the entities that were a part of our transformation journey. Aditya Birla Group is one such entity for me. It was with me as Pantaloons when I was a girl, and it is still with me as Van Heusen when I am a woman. My all-time favourite shopping destination in college was Pantaloons, which had stores in almost all malls in Noida. Its wide range of clothing and accessories were so irresistible that it always wooed me. Be it a fresher party, a fun fest or a festival with family; Pantaloons has dresses for all occasions, which made it an integral part of my college life.
