My story for my IDEA - Goa Institute of management

With 162 years of legacy, Aditya Birla group is behemoth of stupendous proportions, cutting across a plethora of industries and touching 1.25 billion lives, making it almost a ubiquitous and indispensable presence in the heartland of Asia- our India. Imagination is said to have no bounds, but even a concept like it can fall short when it comes to qualifying the impact that the Aditya Birla Brand has had in our lives, from cradle to the grave.

As we all know that the universal phrase - ‘First impression is the last impression’ is used too frequently in our daily lives, this is something that is strictly followed in one of the industries I had previously worked in i.e. consulting, as this sector requires direct interaction with client personnel and one needs to be properly dressed no matter what part of the year or what time of the day it is. Every employee acts as a face for its organization and is a guardian of the reputation and brand value that has been developed over years. Such requirements and expectations require wearing a clothing that is not only comfortable, durable but also fashionable at the same time. Since clothing is also something that drives me crazy, I am too selective about the brands I carry, especially for formal attire. There is an array of brands that I prefer, be it Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly or Peter England and my wardrobe is full of the latest collections that are introduced by these brands. They not only look stylish but also make me feel fresh and a lot more confident every time. When I chose to pursue my Masters, the importance of professional wear was highlighted yet again day in and day out during our various corporate interactions and I was glad to carry all the aforesaid clothes I had previously mentioned because of their cloth durability and styles that are evergreen and don’t wear out in years together.  There is a fresh corporate phase that awaits me when I step out of my college. Since my childhood I have seen my mother ironing Peter England shirts that belonged to my father and she taught me the importance of investing on good clothing brands. This is exactly what I have been doing and will continue to do with the likes of Louis Phillippe, Van Heusen and Allen Solly.
