Jokingly, I think the phrase Loyal Customer has been derived from the brands like ABG 😊. Why I may say so? In a world full of so many brands and products, one can easily get imitated by these names, but there are few which stands out. And definitely, ABG is one amongst them. Again, why I say so you may ask? Because an average Indian would have consumed at least one of its products if not all once in a lifetime. Right from manufacturing aluminiun, copper and cement to textile and telecom industries, ABG has not left any stone unturned. My life has certainly revolved around ABG products. I used to saw number of ULTRATECH cements packages in my childhood days when my grandfather thought to renovate our house. I remember switching to IDEA cellular network from reliance network after recommendation from one of my friends. And now I enjoy being a loyal customer of Louis Phillippe and VanHeusen. They have also played a key role in expanding consumer choice by bringing foreign brands like Allen Solly and Peter England to the masses.

Reminiscing the childhood days when my hometown ,Indore city got its first mall. Entire residents  of the city flooded the mall floor. As a child of 12 years age, seeing shops with shiny packaging and products in different assortments omnipresent everywhere was picturesque. I remember how me and my sister used to go gaga in the departmental stores. Filling up the trolley in Big Bazaar with all the food items and clothes till we get exhausted was our ultimate goal. We would then be asked to reduce some of the items,  which was difficult task,  given the leverage of childhood and the availability of multitude of grocery items. There were other shops available but the convinience and variety was still significant. More and easy day were opened in major areas of the city which made many things accessible and the onus of responsibility of purchasing monthly grocery gradually fell upon us. The purchasing process was easy even for a child. This is why I consider ABG to be big in my life. It taught me independent and reliant decision making right from the childhood.

Owing to its vast product portfolio, Aditya Birla Group has always been an indispensable part of my life. As I recall the past, my first interaction with the group brings a smile on my face – it reminds me of the tasty dishes my mother used to wrap in “Freshwrapp” and pack it in a tiffin box during childhood. As I grew up, my interactions with the company increased. It became more and more exciting. From birthday gifts from my parents to my shopping, Pantaloons became an all-time favourite spot. Be it for an ethnic day event, a casual day out with friends or some trendy party, it has clothes, footwear, bags and accessories for all my needs. Also, buying gifts for friends and family has always been fun at Pantaloons because of its customer friendly service. Brands like Van Heusen and Allen Solly has always come to rescue when dressing up for any formal events like interviews, and going to office.

Aditya Birla Group – The dawn of new shopping! - Vinitha, IIM Udaipur

I am from a lower middle class family and my father is a salaried employee. We have always had the budget prepared for all the expenses throughout the month. As a child, I fantasized about shopping and well, even now. I accompanied my father every month to buy groceries and provisions. But all that we could afford and had access to, was a general store where we provided the list of items and shopkeeper would get us them from inside. I was this small girl who excitedly jumped to see the items in the shop behind the billing counter beyond which the customers weren’t allowed usually. Influenced by Hollywood movies, the supermarkets became my bucket list place. But my father never took me to one as he knew I would grab expensive things that he might not be able to afford.
