Why Aditya Birla Group Is Big In Your Life
Aditya birla group has been “Big in my Life”. From my childhood, ABG has been an integral part of my daily life. I have fond memories of my childhood days, when my parents started to build a house for us. It was a dream project for us. We bought land and started procuring materials for construction as my father didn’t want to give the material contract to the builder. He wanted the best of the best to be utilized for the construction of our dream home. My first encounter with ABG was UltraTech Cements – The Engineers Choice. It has been 14 years and there has not been a single crack. We used the Birla white cement for interior works. ABG has touched our lives on a variety of segments. My grandfather took his Idea SIM when the beginning of Telecom rise in India began. For the past 15 years, he has not changed his service provider, such is the customer satisfaction of ABG. I have been a regular customer of the Pantaloons clothing chain. Aditya Birla Group is not only been just a conglomerate with a variety of products but a group which has been very socially responsible through its Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development. It has varied focus areas such as Healthcare, Education, Sustainable livelihood programs, infrastructure and model village. ABG has also been working closely with a variety of government projects such as Sarva siksha abhiyan, MGNREGA, PM Gram Sadak Yojana, Rural livelihood mission, swachh bharat abhiyan, renewable energy development program, etc.

Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my Life?
Aditya Birla Group has a massive impact on my life. I believe the same is the case with every other Indian citizen. ABG has a long history of 162 years in India and all over the world. It operates with more than 120,000 employees worldwide. ABG has set its foot in 35 countries with employees from 42 countries. ABG has various businesses in a wide range of fields from agri-business to telecom and from textiles to finance. A large share of the copper requirement of Indian Railways is fulfilled by Birla Copper. The Bandra-Worli sea link in Mumbai was built using Ultratech cement limited. People are loyal to certain brands that provide real value to customers. ABGs products never fail to provide that value to the consumers. That is why they are the third-largest Indian private sector conglomerate. I am a very consistent customer of ABG’s textile products and telecom services. I have never felt that I have been cheated as a customer by their products and services. As an MBA student, ABG is a true inspiration for me. ABG’s success is that they reached every Indian household in some form or the other. ABG has the largest cement company in India. A conglomerate like ABG is much needed for a society to take care of the customers in all aspects. ABG also indulges in CSR activities to empower women and children in rural areas in India as well as on a global level. ABG’s growth means a lot to India’s economic growth and development. My ambition in my life is to achieve heights in the field of finance. I faced many challenges to reach this point of my journey towards my ambition. First of all, figuring out my interest was the key challenge. Being an engineer, I have always had a special affinity towards numbers. But I was skeptical about the field in which I should be applying that interest. That is when I started to develop my knowledge in finance. I started reading business newspapers and books. They helped me to decide that that is what I want in my life. Then I decided to do an MBA in my final year of engineering. I wanted to choose the best B-school to pursue an MBA which lead me to the name IIM. So, I had to prepare for CAT in less than 4 months. As my college was located remotely, I couldn’t attend any coaching classes for CAT. I had to do self-preparation with my final year projects and courses going on in parallel. I managed my time well to balance my preparation and final year courses and project. Then came the D-day, CAT exam, for which I had to travel 70 km from my college. So I reached the location in the previous day and stayed alone near the exam center. I am a jovial person who likes to interact with people all the time. That night before the exam was challenging, the pressure of the exam and loneliness disturbed me a lot. But the next day, I told myself that this is my day to prove myself that I could do it and it did indeed work out well. Now I have achieved a milestone of reaching a top B-school in the country. I know there is a long way to go ahead. I am looking forward to enjoying the journey and work hard to achieve my goal.
