How am I going to stay in touch ? A question that bothered me when people close to me were moving abroad. With my father travelling abroad for business for the larger part of the year and childhood best friend relocating to Switzerland, the need for me to stay connected with them was a huge cause for concern. However, as for most of my generation, my apprehensions were short lived owing to the boon of mobile phones and strong cellular network. Being able to reach out to anyone at any time by simply making a call or sending a message is now a way of life. Unknown to me, Aditya Birla Group, a 26% stakeholder in Vodafone Idea Limited, had already played a huge role in my life by being a giant in the India telecom industry. Like me, across India and the world, several people are unknowingly benefited everyday by the products and services offered by this Indian multinational conglomerate that has businesses ranging from textiles, fast moving consumer goods and financial services to cement, metals and agri-business.

ABG touches a million lives around the world and I m no different, ABG has always been a part of my journey. It had impacted my life from the very beginning. When I remember my school days, the only thing which pops up in my mind is the lunch break for which I waited since 1st period with hunger and curiosity in my stomach of what special dish mom has packed for me and the joy of opening the freshwrap and eating my favourite dish was priceless. Freshwrap not only preserve my food but also the love with which my mom packed food for me. I remember of the giant which comes in the ad of ultratech cement claiming the strongest cement which it was. Holding my home for more than 15 years with strongest love and care. I can never forget the excitement of shopping before Diwali when my whole family go to Pantaloon to buy clothes of their choice. I never missed any chance to show off my new clothes to my friends. When I grew up and got lucky to make girlfriend it was Idea cellular which seamlessly served us on our never-ending conversation. And when I won quiz competition from that prize money I gifted my father a Peter England shirt, the pride in my father can be faced can be easily noticed till now he wear that shirt on occasion and pride has not reduced by an inch. ABG was always with me even during my engineering when I went to Hindalco captive power plant, Singrauli for my first captive power plant visit to learn about power generation my experience, there is what made me a power plant engineer. After I researched more about the Aditya Birla Group I was amazed with its global presence in more than 14 sectors and while acheiving leadership in several business. The sunrise in its logo truely symbolise its journey and lights that it brought in the lives of millions by contributing social and economic development by providing education and free mid day meal to thousand students and building over 5000 medical camps. The work of Aditya Birla Group has been truely inspirational.

Involvement of a corporation that runs across 14 industry sectors of net worth $44.3 billion employing about 1.2L employees, in a normal person’s life is extremely unlikely.
