Right from the garments, be it casual for a party, formal for an interview or ethnic for an event, you just can’t ignore the products. The retail stores don’t only make our simpler, but creates employment and improves the lives of those people who work day and night for their families. When a brick and mortar store or a retail outlet or a departmental store is opened in a certain area, there is a development for the whole locality. Also, when the company outsources its engineering, textiles, and apparels there is a scope for others to contribute.

ABG Woo Me: How have I made an impact
While I was working as an organizer of the team marketing for the technical fest of our university, the major goal of our team is to attract sponsors and to increase the number of participants taking part in various events of the fest. We as a team are always enough with the number of students from our own university taking participation in the events. However, my team faced with the challenge of bringing a greater number of external participants to take part in the various events of the fest, since the previous version of the fest had quite low amount of external participation. I suggested a solution in which each of our team members will go to the institutes in their respective hometowns along with two other team members and conduct entry-level events related to the main events of the fest and also a quiz, assuring that winners of that entry-level events and the quiz will be provided with one-way travel expenses and also entry into the final round of the events, where the prize money is quite hefty. My team head was quite amused by this suggestion, but also had a benefit of doubt due to the costs involved in following this strategy. However, I made him understand that this solution is going to work and took responsibility for conducting the entire event. This strategy of us worked wonderfully and helped the team in two ways, one in attracting maximum number of external participants and the other in helping team members know each other on a more personal level increasing the amount of enthusiasm they put into the team.

Growing up in an Indian family as every individual dreams I too dreamt of becoming a cricketer. Watching Sachin Tendulkar play made me passionate about playing this game. Every time I saw him bat made me fall in love with this game a bit more. So without wasting any time I asked my father to enroll me into some cricket club. And I guess everyone will agree with me here, it takes real guts to ask our father something to which we already know his answer that is “No”. My father as most of other Indian fathers would do gave me an angry look and I being the smart one here understood what he meant. I wasn’t sad as I already knew what his answer is going to be but kept having a puppy face throughout the day so that my mother notices it and can ask my father to provide me with what I want, but later I realized that my parents were on the same team. Few days passed by and it was a Sunday evening when my father was home and I had a cricket match in our backyard. I thought to myself this is going to be a perfect platform to showcase my talent in front of my father which will force him to get me admitted into any coaching academy. By God’s grace everything went well and I managed to play a pretty organised innings and to my surprise the week after my father took me to a coaching academy and got me admitted into it. Going further I played Under 19 tournaments at district level. One more challenge I faced in life is few years before I was out of shape and had a pretty bad life style because of which I was body shamed all around. This did hurt me, so I decided to upgrade myself into a fit version and my journey started. This seemed easy at first but as I went deep into understanding fitness there was no end to it and slowly I started finding it difficult to manage my time as I had to prepare my meals, go to gym, go to office and prepare for competitive exams as well. The most important thing is I needed to have a vision, needed to have a goal because without this vision I would have drifted around and ended up nowhere. To me to have that vision that I want to represent India in Men’s classic physic competition and be the greatest competitor of all time and to specifically look like the one or even better than whom I adore is what motivates me. That’s why I always recommend people to sit down take their time and think why do they want to work out what is their goal it may be as crazy as wanting to impress girls if that’s their goal so be it , it motivates them. This vision did not let me give up my dream and I ended up being a fitter version of myself.

Overcoming Challenges and how to convert them into Milestones
My family had to face a rough patch both financially and emotionally when my father had a huge loss in business. One of our other family members cheated my father and made a huge loss in our family business. My father had to bear all the loss and loans. We couldn’t earn enough to run a family of four on top of which we were required to clear all the loans and losses. All the earnings were spent in clearing the debts. My mother is a housewife but due to this she had to start her own side business so that we could sustain our finances. Even my father’s business partner left the firm and took all his investment. We were not earning enough to even pay for school fees. People were suggesting leaving the school and drop a few years. Additionally, these years were teenage years of my brother and my life. This is when our career path and future was to be shaped. Any impact on these years could have damaged the career. Yet we kept faith and patience and I helped my parents in every way possible to get out of this circumstance. I used to help my father and mother in their business after our school hours. We didn’t invest in any extra activity, concentrated and saved all the finances for education and to improve our future. During this period, I completed my high school, Standard 12th and got admitted to an engineering college. With everything going on in the background, it is hard to concentrate on the studies or everything else. I even got got a secure job during this phase. This phase of our life thought us to have patience and made us learn how to maintain finances. These challenges were tough to overcome to achieve whatever I had achieved till now, but has made be believe in myself and whatever I do.
