ABG roots date to the 19th century to the town of Pilani, Rajasthan where Seth Shiv Narayan Birla started trading cotton, laying the foundation of House of Birla. Later ABG founding father Ghanshyam Das Birla alongside expanding the ABGs presence across nation played an active role in Indian Freedom struggle alongside Mahatma Gandhi. Following the same tradition of business expansion, Mr. Aditya Vikram Birla was the first person to put Indian business on world map long before globalization became a buzz word.
