ABG has impacted our lives in manifold ways. They have a gigantic brand presence in the world. Be it through their fashion and retail business or their contribution to Indian railways through their copper business, ABG contributes to our daily lives in multiple ways. Belonging to the millennial generation, keeping up with fashion is of great importance for us and brands like Pantaloons, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Forever 21 cater to our wants of stylish yet affordable fashion with quality product offerings. Allen Solly and Van Heusen (ABG’s in house brands) cater to working professionals’ formal and semi-formal wardrobes. Since we prefer online shopping for its convenience and ease the group fulfills these needs through their online channels. Pantaloons is a one stop shop that offers a wide array of brands across various product lines and with regular offers that makes them an obvious choice for students like us. Also, their cement business under Ultra Tech Cement limited is directly impacting the country’s infrastructure quality. They have a broad reach throughout the country and provide one-stop solutions for all primary construction needs of the individual home builders. Hindalco Industries Limited, the metal flagship company of ABG is also seen in our daily lives through its foil and packaging products like freshwrapp and superwrap. Vodafone Idea Limited is a leading telecom service provider and connects people across India. Aditya Birla Idea Payments Bank Limited (ABPB), the digital bank is also increasing its visibility by offering innovative banking features like mobile number as bank account number, ‘One Bank PIN’ across wallet/savings account/BHIM ABPB UPI, cashless transactions and interactive bank statements.

The Aditya Birla group has now had a strong presence in the life of almost every Indian now. the vastness of their vision is maybe somewhat justified by the number of products they have in the market. A lot of it can be attributed to their core underlying principles. In the words of Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla himself – “Leadership lies at the heart of knowing what we stand for”. If I were to exclusively mention, I will fall short of space to mention the range of industries they operate in; let alone mentioning the day to day effects of the immediate products of the Aditya Birla Group. Yet a few noticeable examples include Planet Fashion, Peter England, Allen Solly, Van Huesen, Ultratech Cement etc. To breakdown further the role of Ultratech Cement or the fashion retail brands or clothing brands under ABG in our daily lives would not just be an underestimation of their scale of operations but also a failure to recognize the efforts that has been put in to build the social fabric of this country for a long time now. There is yet another significant achievement by the Aditya Birla group that has by far overshadowed, rather been propelled, by its all other achievements. That is the brand value which Aditya Birla Group has been able to carve out for itself. Rising above the product and establishing itself as a pioneer in rebuilding the nation through leadership has been a trademark of the ABG. The CSR initiatives of AB group is nothing short of exemplary. So to summarize how my life gets affected by the Aditya Birla Group, I would put it down this way – As an Indian citizen who is very much part of the social fabric, the Aditya Birla Group has empowered and helped me rebuild the innate elements of the society around me.
