Back in 2012, I completed my 12th Boards from Amravati and I got my engineering admission in Sinhagad Institutes, Pune. I was a nervous kid but at the same time, I was really excited to face new challenges! I never had my own cellphone and I had a different craze of owning one. So, I went to this exclusive mobile shop with my dad and bought a stylish and trendy phone. The moment I touched the smooth grey body of my phone, I jumped in excitement! I bought a new cover for my phone and I was showing it off in front of my family and friends that “Yayyy!! Finally, I have got my own phone”.And I left for Pune for my engineering course. My college was located at the outskirts of Pune near the Sinhagad Fort. I was staying away from my family for the first time. I was gloomy when my parents bid me farewell. The only thing which could connect me with my family was my phone!! The very first day after all the classes were done, I was going back to my hostel. Suddenly it started raining heavily and it was dark and cold like a benighted hemisphere! I was walking alone and I was really scared as there was no one on a pathway. I tried calling my parents, but my phone had no coverage. I was almost in tears when I saw a distant familiar figure walking down the road. She saw me in that situation and she offered me her phone. I instantly called my family and told them that I was safe and the network problem. I then asked her about the sim card she was using. She told me that you only get the network for IDEA in this entire campus. I quickly changed my sim car the very next day and its been almost 7 years that I am still using the same sim card and it has been the only constant which makes me feel home even if I am far away! This idea has actually changed my life!

I read about Captain Gopinath (Simply Fly), Phil Knight (Shoe Dog), Lakshmi Mittal (Cold Steel), etc. And then I came across this book called Kumar Mangalam Birla by Drimi Chaudhari. This read gave me an insight into the life of very humble and modest Industrialist who has touched millions of Indian lives through numerous successful verticals.
