Sarthak followed his heart and pursued his dream to become a filmmaker, without any formal training in filmmaking. Let’s explore his story in today’s episode of Konversations in Quarantine.
Immediately after completing his MBA in Finance from SIBM Pune, Sarthak came back to Mumbai and joined SEBI, a true blue government financial institution. Sarthak tells interesting stories about SEBI at that time and how he dreamt about the films that he used to watch with his FTII friends on the monitor kept in front of him with financial reports on them. With music director Pritam, Sarthak had his initial conversations around films and music going in Pune during his college days and that is how he got hooked to the creative side of things.

He describes the early few months within the company to be of hustle and disruption, where a lot of things were changing and taking shape. Now, Mayank is responsible for the growth of the bike taxi and three-wheeler segment of Uber. But, in these trying times of coronavirus and the prevailing safety concerns of people, how effectively can a ride-hailing company rise up to the occasion? This and a lot more are discussed in this part of the Konversations in Quarantine with Mayank Agarwal.
Right after his engineering degree, Mayank Agarwal got placed in a company where he learned the basics of Supply Chain Management. In his four years that he spent in the company, he didn’t only learn the various nuances of the business but got hands-on training in procurement, sourcing, operations, and supply chain. He then worked on the Supply Chain side of #Deloitte and something in him shifted. He was impressed by the b-school students he was interacting with, how they communicated with each other, and thus he decided to give a shot at CAT. Months later, he was in one of the premier b-schools, IIM Lucknow.
In this last part of Kaushik’s interview, he tells us of his latest stint, which is at #Facebook. Conventional wisdom is that people who enter #McKinsey don’t leave.
