Let’s get to basics without getting into any lofty verbiage, what is that pressing motivation to pursue MBA? We would get phrases like ‘Growth in Career’, ‘Ending up in decision-making unit’ which is totally correct but drilling down deeper, it is more about the compensation and certain ‘glamour’ attached with the career post-MBA. MBA is a costly affair, barring a few institutions like FMS and IITs, the cost of average MBA degree from a top tier college in India is approx. 16-17 lacs (including hostel, food), but is it the real cost of MBA? Well I would say no, here’s why:
Make-to-stock (MTS) is a traditional production strategy that is used by businesses to match production and inventory with consumer demand forecasts. The MTS method requires an accurate forecast of demand in order to determine how much stock should be produced.
When I embarked on the flight for Hyderabad on 11th June, I could not have imagined in the wildest of my dreams what I would experience in the coming five weeks. Having worked previously, I had some expectations from the onboarding and had set a pretty high bar, having gone through a great onboarding last time. What followed was beyond anything I had imagined and probably the most memorable welcome I will ever experience.
Following is the conversation I had with an Autowalla in Bangalore. Usually, I choose to stay numb and get lost in the company of my music player during such rides. But at this particular instant, I gave my earphones a miss and got into conversation mode.
